  • Quiet secluded setting
  • Large indoor workshop
  • Valley views
  • Ideal 2nd home
  • Scope to expand

Across the stream and a short distance up the side of the valley is where you’ll find this home. Not far from the beaten track but far enough off it to give you that “retreat” feel. Enjoyed and improved by the current owner who has also create a sizeable (50m²) art studio on the ground floor with plenty of natural light – perfect to keep as is or change in to a large lounge or otherwise as required. The current accommodation is spread across the ground floor but there are two large (90m² x2) attic ripe for conversion if further space was needed.

A true country “fermette” with a choice of doors to use…. let’s start (as most of us do) with the kitchen, direct access to the front garden for those al-fresco moments, a good sized room with plenty of space for that dining table, high beamed ceiling and tiled floors that are easy to clean here the focus is on functionality with a “farmhouse” design. A couple of steps down lead us into the hallway with stairs already in place for that future conversion of the attic space, a practical WC and family bathroom with bath and shower are hidden behind the stairs. A few more steps down take you into the lounge with open fireplace, beams, tiled floors and a separate snug provide space for all to relax and unwind. After the lounge is a study/bedroom which leads to another double bedroom at this end of the house. On the other side of the kitchen we discover the art studio. The plot is around 1500m² which is plenty without being hard to maintain and with those great rural views you enjoy plenty of outside space and wildlife whilst here.

There’s a couple of other homes in this hamlet but none that overlook this property. A short drive takes you to the local village (a choice of two) with some amenities and a beyond them we have the very popular market towns of Le Grand Lucé and La Chartre sur Loir. An ideal base from which to explore or just sit back and unwind watching nature and the world provide you with artistic inspiration.
